In order to prevent toxic and harmful substances from contaminating poultry and egg products and effectively strengthen breeding inputs and environmental management, the relevant requirements are hereby notified as follows.
1. Strengthen feed production, operation and management
Livestock feed management departments in various places should increase the supervision and inspection of egg and poultry feed production enterprises within their jurisdiction, focusing on raw material warehouses and additive warehouses, and urge enterprises to strictly follow the "Feed Raw Materials Catalog", "Feed Additive Variety Catalog" and the allowed use of pharmaceutical feed additives Variety selection of raw materials, and the use of any substances outside the three catalogs to produce feed will be strictly investigated and dealt with. Strictly crack down on reprocessing activities such as unpacking, subpackaging, adding other substances, etc. in the business process. Strictly prevent fipronil from contaminating feed raw materials and products in all aspects of production and operation.
2. Strengthen the management of veterinary drug use
Animal husbandry and veterinary management departments in various regions should strengthen the supervision of veterinary drug use in egg and poultry breeding, and strictly implement management systems for veterinary prescription drugs, drug withdrawal periods, and adverse reaction reporting of veterinary drugs. Supervise and guide breeding farms to establish and improve the management system for the use of veterinary drugs, and keep records of the purchase and use of veterinary drugs. If excessive dosage, excessive use, etc. are discovered, severe penalties will be imposed in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on the Administration of Veterinary Drugs". The operation and use of fipronil as a veterinary drug is strictly prohibited.
3. Strengthen environmental management of egg poultry farms
Animal husbandry and veterinary management departments in various regions should strengthen publicity and guidance, guide egg poultry farmers to raise according to breeding technical specifications according to different growth periods and physiological stages, continue to improve facilities and equipment conditions, promptly handle and transport manure, maintain poultry house hygiene, and limit Reduce the use of environmental hygiene medications. It is strictly prohibited to use various hygienic pesticides containing fipronil.
In accordance with the requirements of this notice, local animal husbandry and veterinary management departments should focus on the illegal and illegal use of fipronil and immediately organize inspections of egg and poultry feed production and operation enterprises, veterinary drug production and operation units and breeding farms, and comprehensively and systematically investigate the problems that exist in each link. In order to identify potential risks, active measures should be taken to urge relevant units and farmers to make immediate rectifications to ensure the quality and safety of poultry and egg products. Risk points and emerging problems found will be reported to the Animal Husbandry Department and Veterinary Bureau of our Ministry in a timely manner and according to procedures.
