African swine fever virus

African swine fever (ASF) is an acute, febrile, highly contagious disease caused by African swine fever virus (ASFV). It is characterized by short course, high morbidity and mortality, and clinical symptoms. High fever, skin congestion, miscarriage, edema and organ congestion.

As a DNA virus, African swine fever virus is mainly prevalent in wild infection zones including domestic pigs, wild boars and ticks. Wild boars, dead pigs and subclinically infected pigs are the main sources of infection of the disease.

The virus is highly resistant to the external environment and can survive in the secretions of infected pigs and environmental pollutants for a long time.

Fluorescence detection principle

There is a large Stokes shift between the excitation wavelength and emission wavelength of lanthanide elements and their chelates, which reduces the interference of specific stray light caused by the excitation light on detection and improves the stability of fluorescence detection; at the same time, the fluorescence lifetime is long, eliminating It eliminates the interference of fluorescent substances in the environment to the analyte, and the fluorescence excitation wavelength is wider and the emission wavelength is narrower. It has the advantages of low background, high resolution and strong specificity.
